# Aspect: Photo Sync Companion on iOS crashes on start-up

## Observed behavior
The Aspect: Photo Sync Companion app crashed immediately on startup.
## Expected behavior
App can be launched without issue
## Steps required to reproduce
1. Installed version 1.0 (27) from Testflight
2. Launched the app by clicking the icon
## Operating system/Hardware used
Same issue on both
- iPhone 13 Pro Max - 256 GB - iOS 18.4.1
- iPad Pro 13-inch (M4) - 1TB - iPadOS 18.4.1

Should be fixed with the next update (probably this Friday)! On iOS 18.4, we currently are still suffering from the same [issue that has been fixed for macOS 15.4](https://community.bildhuus.com/t/aspects-begun-to-segfault-crash-on-start-macos-15-4/536) by the last release.

The latest version should now start properly (tested with iOS 18.4.1).

Have the same bug using the latest build (30). I have checked a couple of other builds available on TestFlight but the result was the same – the app crashes upon start.

This appears to be a new issue with the same apparent effect. Although the cause of this is not clear, yet – there are no usable error messages, it just closes – it appears to be build system/linker related. However, we could reproduce this on an iPhone here and have been able to find a workaround. There is a new build (31) out now with the workaround included.
