Create new library in server addition

Since many users with large collections are likely to have their photos stored on a server, it would be ideal if we could create a library in the server version and sync to it from other clients with their respective limits. Currently I had to create a copy on an external drive, connect it to my laptop and create a library from there, just to sync all of it back to the server on which they already existed.

As a workaround, I thought to create an empty library from Aspect UI and then add the files from the server. But I realized that I don’t know how to add new files on the server! Is there a way to do that?

Also, can you please correct my title? Clearly that should be ‘edition’ not ‘addition’

With 1.0.0-rc.10, what should kind of work is to create a fresh library in the desktop application, sync it to the server, and then move the files manually into the library folder. It should then detect them and sort them into 20xx/Individual Photos (as configured) folders. However, that’s also the limitation of this approach, if the folder structure is supposed to stay untouched at the beginning, this won’t work (we’ll have to implement setting up scanned folders on the server for that).
