I’ve started adding metadata in the persons/object section of the metadata editor. Is there a way to filter photos matching specific data I’ve entered (e.g. Find all of photos taken of “Tom”)?
Keyword search doesn’t seem to include that, so I’m not sure what I should be using. Thanks
The corresponding metadata field isn’t (currently) stored in the metadata cache, so as it stands, it isn’t technically possible to search in reasonable time. We are planning to integrate “persons” as a high-level concept, though, which will then automatically handle the “persons shown” field, as well as detected faces.
One thing you can do today is to use collections for managing persons and use the metadata template feature to automatically fill the “persons shown” field. You would create a new group “Persons” and then a collection within that group for each person. Then right click each collection, choose Configure Metadata Template… and then enter the name again under “Persons shown”.
When you now add/remove images to/from the persons collections, the respective person will automatically be added/removed to the metadata as well.
