I added Affinity Photo 2, and Windows Media Player as external editors when I first downloaded Aspect. Now I am unable to edit any of their settings or remove them as options.
Expected behavior
When I go to settings, select external editors, and the settings for the two mentioned external editors, to be able to change their settings or remove them as options.
Steps required to reproduce
Wasn’t something specific I did, just something I’ve recently noticed.
Affinity Photo (1 and 2) and Windows Media Player are both automatically recognized as external editors and any such automatic entry is generally read-only. Looking at this, we should definitely communicate that within the UI, as this is not clear at all. I’ll look for a good place to add a corresponding hint.
Currently there isn’t directly, but that’s definitely a good point. I’ll see if I can make a simple change to make that field customizable. The other fields are all just inherent properties of the application, but the exchange format is of course also the format used for edited variants of an image, so it really should be customizable.
The workaround would be to hide the auto-detected entry by unchecking it in the settings dialog and then to manually add a second entry for the same application.
