Hey everyone,
a new version of Aspect has been released: 1.0.0-preview.20. You’ll find the download links at the bottom of this post. Simply install over the existing installation to upgrade. The following changes and additions are included:
New features
- Added export collections
- Export collections automatically maintain exported versions of the images they contain
- Added many advanced metadata fields to the metadata pane
- Includes most fields from the IPTC Core and Extended sets
- Sufficient for most image distribution tasks
Enhancements
- Heavily improved UI performance on Apple M1 systems and Apple devices with Intel GPUs
- The metadata pane can now be navigated with arrow keys
- When opening multiple images with Aspect, it now attempts to show then in compare mode
- Creating collections and groups can now be cancelled when invoked through the menu
- Enhanced robustness against crashes while writing files during copying, editing and synchronization
Bug fixes
- Fixed a possible timing related crash during library load
- Fixed selection state of the organization pane after editing a collection name
- Fixed the file relations button erroneously being available for files outside of the library
- Fixed blurry images that only became sharp after changing view modes
- Fixed delayed window resize behavior on macOS
- Fixed parsing of certain XMP GPS coordinate fields with eastern longitude
- Fixed editing and exporting images that contain malformed metadata fields
- Fixed the visibility of edit actions in the toolbar when navigating a folder
