Hey everyone,

a new version of Aspect has been released: 1.0.0-rc.19 (view blog post). You’ll find the download links in the next section of this post. Simply install over the existing installation to upgrade.

Enhancements

  • Substantially improved performance for libraries that contain a large number of duplicates of the same file
  • Improved performance and UI responsiveness while deleting multiple files

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a possible crash when dragging a large amount of files and some of the files get moved before the actual drag activity starts
  • Fixed shortcuts not working on macOS when the keyboard focus is within a text edit control
  • Fixed indirectly deleted (sub) collections staying visible in the collection bar
  • Fixed the keyword tree collapsing after collection/keyword changes
  • The keyword semantic search expression now supports negation and searching for images with no keywords set
  • Fixed possible UI freezes while large numbers of files deleted in the file system are being detected
  • Fixed the numbers reported during the “Synchronizing File System…” activity
  • Fixed a potential failure to load a library after outdated revisions have been dropped
