Hey everyone,

a new version of Aspect has been released: 1.0.0-rc.26 (view blog post). You’ll find the download links in the next section of this post. Simply install over the existing installation to upgrade.

Enhancements

  • Added VLC on Linux as an automatically recognized external editor application

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a possible crash when a library gets forcefully unloaded due to a library lock failure
  • Fixed a possible crash when items disappear from a view while items are being selected using the shift key
  • Fixed a possible crash occurring for certain constellations of registered local library instances
  • Fixed a failure to start caused by an externally corrupted PID file
  • Fixed a possible crash when accessing incomplete video files by streaming from another instance
  • The library is now unloaded immediately when the library folder goes missing (e.g. by unplugging an external hard drive), avoiding potential secondary issues
  • Fixed a possible crash after upgrading a pre-RC-25 library
