Enhancements

  • Improved text search
    • Text search now operates based on word stems, so that, for example, searching for โ€œiceโ€ will also match โ€œicyโ€, but not โ€œofficeโ€
    • Prepending a minus to a search word will now cause only results to be returned that do not match that word
  • The order of analyzing images has been changed to work in the default photo stream sorting order
  • Shortened several field captions in the metadata pane to leave more space for the actual values
  • Added a warning dialog when attempting to add system folders or cloud drive backed folders to the library
  • iOS: Improved the initial instructions for getting started

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a performance issue when the keyword is getting refreshed while the collection pane is open
  • Fixed a possible crash caused by the metadata pane still updating data during application shutdown
  • Fixed image analysis not running for images that are not locally available
  • Fixed missing preview images not being downloaded during sync for images that are not locally available
  • iOS: Fixed the status text sometimes getting cut off
  • iOS: Fixed the status text not getting updated when encountering errors while gathering library statistics
  • iOS: Fixed an issue where the old library was still listed as a possible library to join after disconnecting the library
  • Linux: Fixed a crash occurring when selecting a language that is not installed in the system
  • Linux: Fixed a remaining case where dialogs would start to appear fully black

Feel free to leave any feedback here or in the bug reports sub forum. Thanks for helping to shape a new way of organizing photos!
