Enhancements

  • Reversed the default order within the photo stream and changed to a monthly grouping
    • The scroll position within the photo stream now starts at the bottom instead of at the top
    • There are less paragraphs, resulting in less unused screen space for libraries that contain many days with only few photos
    • The photo stream header does not retract anymore, but will now always show the statistical information
  • Increased the scrolling deceleration to better work when scrolling with mouse wheels
  • 8-bit palette based images are now being decoded properly
  • Fixed mouse wheel events stalling on Linux during animations
  • Now uses the term β€œlibrary trash” to refer to Aspects built-in trash
  • Displays the number of processed and total files during imports

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a possible crash when quickly moving data files outside of the application
  • Fixed a possible crash happening when entering/exiting system standby state
  • Fixed an issue where the application would have bad responsivity and would not cache images anymore in the presence of unexpected cache fragments
  • Fixed missing placeholder text for export activities
  • Fixed a crash happening when deleting an event that contains data files using the β€œmove to photo stream” option
  • Fixed detection of Affinity Photo 2 when installed using the regular setup instead of the MSIX installer
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the UI hanging when going backwards in the introduction overlay
  • Fixed an error message coming up when pressing Ctrl/Cmd+Z
  • Fixed a crash that would happen when synchronizing from a library where multiple nodes of different type were moved between the same groups
  • Fixed an regression that could result in a crash when using a library created by a very early version of Aspect
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the writeFileUTF8 script function from working
  • Fixed opening update announcement URLs with page anchors
