Enhancements
- Changing time zones in the date/time adjustment dialog now retains the same absolute time by default
- The full file checksum of newly added files is now always computed as part of the “analyzing images” phase, speeding up the filesystem synchronization phase
- During lengthy filesystem synchronization processes, the library catalog is now periodically saved to avoid losing progress in the case of a crash
- Improved filesystem scanning speed on NAS shares
- The cursor is now hidden in full-screen view together with the controls
- Increased the maximum side bar size to 400 pixels
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where RAW/JPEG pairs in new scanned folders would sometimes not be shown in the workspace according to the RAW/JPEG preference
- Fixed the number of processed files not being displayed during the “applying changes to the library” phase of the filesystem synchronization activity
- Fixed newly added images not becoming visible after the filesystem synchronization got cancelled
- Fixed an issue where time zones stored in the metadata cache would be stored with only hourly granularity
- Fixed handling of EXIF time zones as stored by mobile phones
- Fixed an issue where photos from different time zones would mess up the day based groups in events
- The library clone activity in the notification center now shows a progress indicator
- Fixed a synchronization issue caused by time zones sometimes being stored as “local” instead of a device independent time zone
Feel free to leave any feedback here or in the bug reports sub forum. Thanks for helping to shape a new way of organizing photos!
