What does this icon next to an event name mean? (Bug?)

CleanShot 2025-06-17 at 22.47.31@2x

I removed some of my events and choose that the photos should be moved to the photo feed. After a while, one of the events reappeared with this icon next to it. My guess is that is has something to do with the event only being on my NAS, because when the network share is unmounted there is a line drawn over the icon.

When the NAS is mounted and I right-click and select to open the event in Finder, I get this error:

I could reproduce the issue, which is rooted in a failure to move the files (that don’t exist locally) to the photo stream. The next release will have this fixed.

The “Show in Finder” menu entry in this case should really just be grayed out instead of reporting an error and I’ll fix that, too.

Forgot to answer the question here: This means that the event is only available in a different library instance (think “in the cloud”) and that it is currently reachable, so that originals will be loaded on-demand. There is also a strike-through version of this, which is active when there are no library instances accessible that have the event stored.
