Based on an earlier topic (Migrate Apple Aperture libraries to Aspect), this allows to import an existing Aperture library into Aspect. The functionality is available in the form of a new menu entry “File” → “Import Aperture Library…”.
It will convert the following items of the Aperture library:
- Files (RAWs, JPEGs and edited versions)
- Projects will be converted to events
- Folders will be replicated as groups in the collection pane
- Albums, books, light tables etc. will be imported as collections
- Keywords will be converted to XMP metadata
Known Issues
- Referenced files that are stored outside of the Aperture Library are not imported
Installation
Copy the “aperture-importer” of the downloaded zip archive into the addon folder of your Aspect installation. The folder can be found in the following location:
- Windows:
%AppData%\Roaming\Bildhuus\Aspect\addons
- macOS:
~/Library/Aspect/addons
- Linux:
~/.config/aspect/addons
Note that you may need to create the folder if it doesn’t exist, yet.
